Accountability
While the WorkFirst program has been measuring its results through regular performance monitoring since it began in 1997, the establishment of the Government Management Accountability & Performance (GMAP) process has significantly increased our ability to monitor our performance and make sure that we are working efficiently and effectively for Washington families. Since February 2006, the WorkFirst SubCabinet has been using the GMAP process to monitor WorkFirst performance. WorkFirst GMAP sessions with the SubCabinet are conducted quarterly.
The GMAP reports are updated using the data sources and measures agreed upon by the WorkFirst partners. The data is reviewed by the SubCabinet 2, comprised of policy-making administrators from the WorkFirst agencies. State, regional, and local level performance information is included in each report. The reports are intended to provide users with the most recent information about their standing relative to the goals established by Gov. Gregoire and the WorkFirst partners.
For questions on WorkFirst GMAP, contact Amber Gillum, OFM WorkFirst Performance Team, 360/902-7657.
