WorkFirst Local Planning
Local Planning is a community forum for WorkFirst service providers to coordinate the development and delivery of activities to help WorkFirst families prepare for employment and go to work. Local Area Planning is apart of the original WorkFirst legislation, and continues to be a vital part of the programs success.
There are currently 32 Local Planning Areas (LPAs) across the state. They meet regularly to discuss local program performance, resolve issues and develop strategies to meet the needs of families. Many prepare annual charters and plans outlining program enhancements and process improvements they will implement throughout the year.
