The WorkFirst Longitudinal Study is a five-year longitudinal study begun in 1999 that tracked families who started out on welfare in Washington state.

- Income and Poverty Over Time describes income levels and sources reported by families.
- Housing and Transportation for WorkFirst Families describes survey data on the housing of respondents, comparing responses from the 2000 and 2001 surveys. In 2001, respondents were also asked about transportation options.
- Use of TANF Activities and Opinions about WorkFirst addresses use and perceived helpfulness of TANF activities, perceptions of how the respondents lives had changed in the past year and general impressions of the WorkFirst program.
- Effects of WorkFirst Activities on Employment and Earnings estimates the impact of job preparation activities in WorkFirst on employment and earnings in early 2000.
- The Employment Report examines the employment experiences of WorkFirst participants. The report details the frequency of employment, earnings and hours worked. It also examines the program elements associated with becoming employed.
- The TANF Report provides an analysis of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) receipt among WorkFirst participants. The report details the patterns of TANF use, as well as those factors associated with exiting, staying off and returning to TANF after exit.
- WorkFirst Study Chart Book provides a comprehensive overview of the information collected by the WorkFirst Study surveys. Approximately 50 charts over 60 pages give a detailed description of WorkFirst participants.
